There are so many options out there to create a second income it can be difficult to decide which is the best one to invest in.  In this issue we will examine the very popular Global Resorts Network.

You should also ask yourself this question anytime you are looking at any type of investment.  Go back to the example above with my parents.  Would any reasonable person spend $50 on a jacket that cost $2?  No.

Now take the same question and apply it towards some well known legit MLM programs.

-         Would any reasonable person join Mary Kay just to use their make up?  Yes

-         Would any reasonable person join Amway to use their products?  Yes

Take this same question now and apply the Zig Zigler test.  Zig is a true icon in the marketing industry who made his initial fortune selling pots and pans door-to-door.  You read that correct.  Pots and pans door-to-door!

He tells this fantastic story about a co-worker of his who was struggling to make his first sale and went to Zig for advice.  Zig asked the co-worker what he thought of the pots and pans he was selling.  The gentleman told Zig that he had never used the pots and pans because he could not afford them.  Zig threw the guy out of his office and told him not to come back or even try and sell the pots and pans until he owned them.  The gentlemen borrows some money, buys the pots and pans, uses them for himself and then precedes to also make a fortune selling pots and pans door to door.

That story is meant to illustrate one thing.  If you do not believe in it – do not try and sell it.  If you can not tell people your personal experience with the product you will never be successful.  Think about the genius of Mary Kay.  A beautiful woman walks into your office and her skin is perfect.  You comment on her beauty and she tells you she uses Mary Kay and would you like to order some from her?  The next thing that happens is you handing her a check and then you joining her team to sell on her team.

Too many people look at a moneymaking opportunity and just look at the money side of it.  These people then wonder why they continue to fail.  Would you buy a car you had no intention of driving?  Would you book a vacation to somewhere you did not ever plan to go?  People can sense both enthusiasm and the lack thereof as well.  It is said that if you truly believe in something it will literally sell itself.

Friends and Family?

The next downside to multi-level marketing opportunities is the direction you receive to go “talk to all of your friends and family” about this amazing opportunity.  I know of no quicker way to get banished from all family holiday functions!

Basically this is called the pity sale.  Your mom would never turn you down right?  The people that encourage you to do this are only doing this so you can get a quick sale from someone who feels sorry for you so they can make some money off you and get to the next victim.  Do not be this person.

The better strategy for this is to not tell any of your friends and family about your new business adventure.  Trust me, when they see you driving the new car and taking all of these fantastic vacations they will be begging you to tell them how they too can do it!
